About The Product

This is a Pioneer Reconditioned product, including a 90-day limited warranty.

The GM-A6704 4-channel amplifier will greatly improve the sound quality in your vehicle. This amplifier powers your front and rear speakers with 60 watts RMS each, allowing you to hear much more of the little details in your music, especially when you turn your system up to overcome road noise. With this amplifier, you can run your front speakers with the “A” channels and combine the “B” channels to drive a subwoofer. You can also set this versatile amp to 2-channel mode to send 190 watts RMS each to a couple of component speakers or subwoofers. Speaker-level inputs also allow you to add this amplifier to a factory-installed audio source that does not have pre-amplified outputs.

High-Quality Affordable Design

To prevent poor bass performance in demanding situations, such as heavy bass content or dynamic range music, Pioneer designed a high-quality power supply to sustain constant power requirements. This design enhances audio performance by providing a better signal-to-noise ratio, improved audio dynamics, sustained bass when needed, and, most importantly, a more enjoyable ride in your car!

Automatic Signal Sensing and Turn-On

When used with an audio source such as an OEM source or a receiver without RCA output, the amplifier will activate as soon as an audio source is detected through the speaker level outputs. When using a pre-amplified source (RCA), this Pioneer amplifier will use the signal (+12Vdc) from the “Remote” input for activation.

Bass Boost

This amplifier features a variable bass boost ranging from 0 to 12 dB for optimal bass performance. With this precise control, you can enhance the tonal balance and acoustic impact of the bass according to your listening preferences and musical style. The available adjustments are three levels: 0 dB, 6 dB, and 12 dB.

Variable Filter (Channel A)

The amplifier’s “A” outputs feature a variable high-pass filter (HPF) ranging from 40 Hz to 500 Hz, or a fixed low-pass filter (LPF) at 80 Hz, to precisely adjust the audio bandwidth and optimize the acoustic performance of your speakers and/or subwoofer. These channels are ideal for your front speakers or for bass when the amplifier is used in 2-channel mode with two subwoofers.

Variable Filter (Channel B)

The amplifier’s “B” outputs feature a high-pass filter (HPF) or low-pass filter (LPF) set at 80 Hz to eliminate low frequencies from your full-range speakers or high frequencies from your subwoofer, providing a more natural and pleasant acoustic performance. These channels are ideal for your rear speakers or a subwoofer when the amplifier is used in 3-channel mode.

Questions and Answers

Q1: What are the power outputs of the GM‑A6704/B?
A1: The amplifier provides about 60 W RMS × 4 channels at 4 Ω, 95 W × 4 at 2 Ω, and up to 190 W × 2 when bridged at 4 Ω.
Q2: What kind of audio tuning features does this amplifier include?
A2: It includes variable high‑pass filters (40–500 Hz) on Channel A, switchable high‑ or low‑pass on Channel B (fixed at 80 Hz), selectable bass‑boost (0/6/12 dB at 50 Hz), and speaker‑level input sensing.
Q3: Can this amp work with a factory head unit without RCA outputs?
A3: Yes — the speaker‑level inputs allow connection to a factory radio that lacks RCA outputs, and the amplifier will auto‑sense the signal to turn on.
Q4: What is the physical size and mounting requirement for this amplifier?
A4: The dimensions are approximately 356 mm (W) × 60 mm (H) × 215 mm (D). Proper ventilation and firm mounting are recommended to ensure reliable performance.
Q5: What should I check if I plan to sell this amplifier in the U.S. market?

A5: When selling in the U.S., ensure you highlight that it is compliant with CEA‑2006 power‑rating standards (so buyers understand the RMS vs peak ratings), that buyers check their vehicle wiring (8 AWG recommended power/ground wiring, a fuse near the battery), compatibility with their head‑unit (RCA or speaker‑level input), and that proper load impedance is maintained (2 Ω vs 4 Ω) especially when bridged. Provide clear wiring diagrams and note that bridging doubles channel output into two channels for sub‑applications.
