Optimally Designed Driver Unit and Low-Resonance Cast-Aluminum Enclosure
To produce powerful bass from its compact size, the slim enclosure is paired with a unique rigid subwoofer diaphragm. The built-in amplifier integrates a sturdy heat sink to protect both the driver unit and amplifier without introducing unwanted vibrations or harmonic distortion.
High-Level Input / Audio Line Input
If your factory radio lacks pre-amp outputs, simply connect the receiver’s speaker outputs to the high-level inputs. When pre-out audio signals are available, connect them to the CH1(R) and CH2(L) terminals. Compatibility with up to 5-V pre-outs allows for higher-voltage audio input, providing a clean audio signal with reduced external noise.
Single-Sided Controls and Terminals
Connections and amplifier controls are conveniently located on the same side for easy installation and tuning. The amplifier includes a variable low-pass filter for simple connection to full-range sources, including speaker-level inputs. A switch also allows you to customize the subwoofer phase output, preventing reduced bass response due to phase cancellation from other speakers in your system.
160-W Peak (75-W RMS) Output Power
Fill your car with 160 W (75 W RMS) of clean, dynamic bass using Sony’s original power IC. The matched Class A/B amplifier is designed for high power delivery and distortion-free sound, even at high output levels.
