Description

Sundown Audio v.6 8 D2

Sundown Audio E‑Series v.6 is a refined 8″ car audio subwoofer engineered to deliver deep, clean, and powerful bass in compact ported enclosures. Its innovative motor design features a heavily vented magnetic gap and solid pole piece for superior thermal handling, while the high‑temp 4‑layer copper voice coil and stitched tinsel leads enhance durability under high loads. With a dual voice coil configuration (available in Dual 2 Ω or Dual 4 Ω) and a class‑leading 14 mm one‑way Xmax for strong linear excursion, the E‑Series v.6 provides punchy low‑end output well beyond what’s expected from an 8″ driver, making it ideal for small box applications.

About The Product

Through relentless research in our North Carolina Headquarters, Sundown optimized a 2” voice coil and a truly unique motor design to get the deepest possible bass response out of an 8” subwoofer.

The E-series showcases a distinctive motor design, featuring a heavily vented magnetic gap and solid pole piece, enabling exceptional thermal power handling. The spider itself is a high strength poly-cotton blend designed to handle the full capacity of the motor. To provide an additional level of ruggedness the spider is bolted down and glued to the frame. Its motor geometry allows for a remarkable 14mm one-way linear Xmax, delivering excursion equivalent to far larger cones.
