Description

Pioneer BDR‑209MBK

The Pioneer BDR‑209MBK is an internal SATA Blu‑ray/DVD/CD writer designed for high‑performance disc recording and broad media support. It achieves up to 16× write speed on BD‑R media and supports high‑capacity formats including BDXL (triple‑layer 100 GB, quad‑layer 128 GB) according to several listings. Additional features include a QuickPlay mechanism to reduce disc‑load time, noise‑suppression and anti‑dust design for durability, and compatibility with a wide range of formats (BD‑R/RE, BD‑R DL, BDXL, DVD±R/RW, CD‑R/RW).

About The Product

The BDR-209MBK is an internal SATA BDXL drive. It can burn virtually all forms of optical disc media, including the super high capacity BDXL Triple layer (100GB) and Quad layer (128GB) Blu-ray formats as well as BD-R (25GB) media up to 16x and BD-R dual layer (50GB) media up to 14x. The drive is also backwards compatible, so it can read and write to most DVD and CD formats. In addition, the BDR-209MBK will ensure even and uniform burning appearance across the full circumference of the disc every time, even if just burning 1 disc or during heavy use.

Features
  • PowerRead: Provides smoother movie playback when a disc has fingerprints or minor surface scratches.

  • Auto Quiet Mode: Intelligently adjusts the disc rotation speed to reduce noise, useful while watching movies or listening to music.

  • PureRead2: Automatically adjusts drive parameters to minimize sound glitches during music playback.

  • QuickPlay: Reduces the time between inserting a disc and that disc being ready. For movies on DVD and Blu-ray, the disc is ready faster than with previous Pioneer drives.

Highly Accurate and Reliable Blu-ray, DVD, and CD Recording

Supports full range of standard CD, DVD, and Blu-ray formats including CD-R, CD-RW, DVD±R, DVD±RW, 25GB BD-R, 50GB BD-R DL, 100GB BDXL, and 128GB BDXL.

Drives Last Longer

Made with better parts—using true Japanese design and parts for a stronger and more reliable drive.

Stable Burning Throughout

Provides consistent and reliable burning of any file type for the duration of the duplication progress to ensure the recorded media has far greater reliability of playback or that the discs will successfully copy to begin with.

A Better Music Experience

Scratches and fingerprints on your CDs can cause them to skip. A drive normally makes a calculated guess at the unreadable data and attempts to correct this to match the original music. PureRead2, when enabled, makes the drive reread the obscured data to extract the original music as accurately as possible.
