The Pioneer DMH‑WC5700NEX is a modular‑chassis digital multimedia receiver featuring a 6.78″ capacitive WVGA touchscreen (≈6.8″) designed for flexible installations where dash depth is limited. It supports both wireless and wired versions of Apple CarPlay® and Google Android Auto™, has built‑in WiFi and Bluetooth®, and includes Amazon Alexa built‑in for voice control. On the audio side it offers advanced features such as three pairs of 4‑volt pre‑amp outputs (front/rear/sub), a built‑in MOSFET amplifier, full DSP with 13‑band EQ and time alignment, dual camera inputs (backup + auxiliary), plus high‑resolution audio playback including FLAC/WAV (24‑bit/192 kHz) and DSD.

About The Product

The Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX modular digital multimedia receiver offers installation flexibility with its 6.8″ capacitive touchscreen display, which can be mounted separately from the hideaway main AV chassis. This chassis contains the processor, memory, tuner, amplifier, and all input/output connections. The DMH-WC5700NEX features the latest wireless connectivity solutions, designed for today’s smartphone-driven lifestyle. Use your smartphone and the Pioneer CarAVAssist App to customize your receiver’s home screen, register your favorite sports teams for real-time game updates, and easily perform OTA firmware updates. Features include built-in Bluetooth®, Amazon Alexa, Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, SiriusXM-Ready™, and built-in HD Radio™.

Modular solutions

Pioneer’s modular receivers are designed for applications, often in newer vehicles, where limited depth behind the dash prohibits the installation of a traditional receiver. This installation flexibility is achieved by physically separating the touchscreen display from the main AV unit, which contains the CPU, control system, radio tuner, amplifier, and input/output connections. This allows the main AV unit to be installed in a different location and not necessarily attached to the display unit, as is typically the case*. To simplify installation and increase vehicle applications, Pioneer, iDatalink, and Metra Electronics are partnering to develop vehicle-specific radio install kits** that make the Pioneer Modular Solutions both cosmetically integrated and simple to install.

CarAV Assist

This in-dash receiver is compatible with the CarAVAssist App, which supports home screen customization and other functions. You can bookmark websites that you want to enjoy in your car while parked, register your favorite sports teams to receive real-time game updates, make notifications settings for your smartphone, and more. The app also allows you to customize your receiver’s home screen, including adding your own background image and easily performing OTA (Over The Air) Firmware Updates. Wireless connectivity

This Pioneer receiver supports a cable-free connection between your smartphone using built-in WiFi® and built-in Bluetooth® for wireless connectivity. It is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You have the choice of using it wirelessly or with a wired connection.

Apple CarPlay® (Wired, Wireless)

This receiver features Apple CarPlay, the smarter, safer and more fun way to use your iPhone® in the car. Apple CarPlay gives iPhone users an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music, and verbally send and listen to messages with just a word or a touch. Apple CarPlay requires iPhone 5 device or newer with the latest version of iOS.

Android Auto™ (Wired, Wireless)

This receiver features Android Auto, which extends the Android platform into the car in a way that’s purpose-built for driving. Android Auto automatically brings you useful information and organizes it into simple cards that appear just when they’re needed. It’s designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road ahead. Android Auto is compatible with Android phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later. Android Auto may not be available on all Android smartphones.

Alexa Built-in

This in-dash receiver features the latest automotive connectivity solutions, including Amazon Alexa Built-in. With Alexa, users can talk to Amazon Alexa directly through this Pioneer receiver. With Alexa, you can ask to play music, hear the news, check the weather, control smart home devices*, and more. Alexa lives in the cloud, so it’s always getting smarter, adding new capabilities that are delivered to compatible devices automatically. Bluetooth

This receiver makes hands-free phone calls simple. Pioneer’s included external microphone provides crystal clear sound. Stream music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more from your compatible phone or other Bluetooth® devices.

Siri® Eyes Free – touchscreen

Simply touch a NEX touchscreen and Siri listens through the NEX unit’s external microphone and answers requests over the vehicle’s speakers, helping you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. (For select iPhones.)

This receiver features a built-in HD Radio™ tuner, which allows you to enjoy your radio in an all-new way. Besides broadcasting in clear digital quality, many stations offer extra local FM channels so you can enjoy more music, news, and sports – all 100% subscription FREE! Back up camera input (2-camera)

Back up safely in any crowded parking area. Install a rear-view camera to use the receiver’s built-in parking guides for easy parking, with adjustable parking lines and full screen image for ease of use.

Wired Remote Input

This receiver integrates an input specifically designed to connect a third-party interface (optional) which will allow you to keep the key functions from the steering wheel control buttons of your vehicle. (if applicable)

iDataLink Maestro (RR & RR2)

Universal Radio Replacement Interface. The Maestro RR and RR2 connect to iDatalink-compatible radios to enhance your multimedia experience with exclusive gauges, vehicle information, parking assistance, climate control, and radar detection screens. They retain the factory infotainment features you love, such as steering wheel controls, voice commands, and more (sold separately).

Metra Axxess™ compatible

The Metra Axxess™ AXPIO is a fully integrated dash kit package designed specifically for select Pioneer receivers. This complete solution features an AXPIO Series interface, vehicle-specific harnessing, a dash kit, and more. Vehicle information and settings controlled on the factory screen are retained, displayed, and controlled on the Pioneer® touchscreen. These settings would otherwise be lost after replacing the head unit. The built-in integration technology from Axxess also retains safety chimes through an offboard speaker, retains audio controls on the steering wheel, retains R.A.P. (Retained Accessory Power), and provides accessory power (12-volt, 10-amp) and NAV output for parking brake, reverse, and speed sense (sold separately).

Hi-res audio file playback via USB

Enjoy High-Resolution Audio music playback just as the musicians intended with higher than CD quality. With the Pioneer NEX Receiver you can play up to 5.6 MHz DSD (Direct Stream Digital) files, and up to 192 kHz/24-bit WAV and FLAC files from an MSC formatted USB device.

Pioneer’s NEX in-dash receivers were the first in the industry to offer playback of files encoded as high-res FLAC up to 192kHz/24 bit and provide playback output at CD quality. Pioneer Advanced Sound Retriever

Hear more detail, warmth, and clarity that the artist originally intended, even from compressed audio files. Whether from USB or streaming services, and regardless of the level of audio compression from your lossy music sources, Pioneer’s ASR enhances audio playback of compressed audio files, such as MP3s, by applying an algorithm to the audio signals. This counteracts the compression effects, providing a more detailed and natural sound.

Flexible Audio Output Management

The Pioneer Standard (2-Way) / Network (3-Way) function allows you to divide the audio signal into different frequency bands. You can then make precise adjustments with low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filters, as well as level, phase, and other parameters to match the characteristics of each speaker unit. Select STD for a Sub/Rear/Front setup, or NTW for a Low/Mid/High setup.

Audio Equalizer

The 13-band equalizer allows for detailed adjustments to your acoustic settings. This lets you tailor the equalization to match your car’s interior acoustics and speaker characteristics as desired. Multiple EQ presets ensure that even users with basic acoustic knowledge can learn and enjoy the benefits of using an equalizer.

Time alignment

This feature allows for delay time and synchronizing from each speaker to be adjusted to correct any phase mismatches in the sound resulting from the listening position. No need for any acoustics degree to do the job, simply measure the distance between your listening position and the speakers, then enter these measurements into the Pioneer receiver.
