Description

Pioneer TS‑X210

The Pioneer TS‑X210 is a 5¼″ (≈130 mm) 3‑way surface‑mount speaker pair designed for flexible installation on the rear deck or dash where traditional speaker cut‑outs may not exist. It features a carbon & mica‑reinforced IMPP™ woofer cone, a 42 mm (1‑5/8″) cellulose‑fiber mid‑range cone, and a 20 mm (¾″) PET or piezoelectric dome tweeter for high‑frequency clarity. It has a nominal (RMS) power handling of 25 W per unit (≈50 W pair) and a maximum peak power of 100 W per unit (≈200 W pair). Its frequency response spans approximately 60 Hz to 30 kHz, with a nominal impedance of 4 Ω and sensitivity around 84 dB (1W/1m)

About The Product

The TS-X210 is a surface mount speaker designed for installations where large holes to accommodate speaker depth are either not possible or very limited. This design makes it the preferred choice for installation on the rear shelf of conventional vehicles or in motor vehicles. The included mounting brackets have been carefully designed to provide greater compatibility for your installation needs and to make the installation process easier.

The TS-X210 features a carbon and mica reinforced IMPP™ cone construction and Pioneer’s exclusive PFSS spider, both of which are technologies shared with the A-Series speakers. This combination offers greater installation possibilities while maintaining tonal balance in the vehicle when paired together.

LOUD & CLEAR

These speakers are designed with a dual-port bass-reflex system to provide not only more bass but also a cleaner bass output than typical speakers of the same size. They allow you to enjoy coherent sound without missing any details and without exaggerated response, offering improved precision and more detail across the entire audio bandwidth. Their efficiency also enables you to enjoy exceptional sound from low-power sources, while their ability to handle high-power head units or small amplifiers ensures versatility.

OPEN & SMOOTH

Pioneer’s OPEN & SMOOTH sound concept ensures a seamless and smooth transition between the midrange and tweeter drivers, delivering a uniform off-axis frequency response. This design is optimized for automotive applications where one or more speakers are often aimed away from the listeners’ ears.

CARBON AND MICA REINFORCED IMPP™ CONE

An extremely rigid yet lightweight cone is essential to avoid cone failure and distortion under high power. Pioneer’s IMPP™ composite cones meet this need perfectly. CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) was applied to create a curvilinear cone with varying thicknesses during the injection process, maintaining a balance between lightness (responsiveness) and rigidity (precise audio and tight bass). To further improve this rigidity-to-weight ratio, Pioneer uses an advanced process that integrates different materials, such as carbon and mica, which resonate at different frequencies, creating a perfectly balanced cone across the entire bandwidth.

CELLOULOSE FIBER MIDRANGE WITH (PET) HARD DOME TWEETER

The stable electrical and mechanical properties over a wide frequency range, as well as the strength-to-weight ratio of these materials, make them perfect for the high-frequency vibrations of the dome. We have also carefully designed these components with a front diffuser to help maintain a perfect audio balance during the transition from on-axis to off-axis listening. This allows for a more balanced sound source between the different audio points in the car.

PIONEER EXCLUSIVE P.F.S.S. SPIDER

The Progressive Flex Suspension System (P.F.S.S.) effectively supports the voice coil by damping cone vibrations and improving the linearity of sound reproduction. Its soft part ensures smooth movement and clear sound even under high power, while its firmer part controls excessive vibrations and prevents unwanted movements that cause distortion. The goal is simple: to provide all the details of your music while maintaining control during the large excursions generated by the bass.

KEEP IT SIMPLE AND CLEAN

Avoid messy installations and keep your speaker wiring as clean as possible. These speakers use an in-line crossover design and/or an integrated crossover already installed on the speaker basket. This eliminates the need for a bulky external box typically found with passive crossovers, saving you from having to find extra space for it. Additionally, it removes the need for extra wires going in and out of your door to accommodate a woofer in the door with a matching tweeter on your dash.

Questions and Answers

Q1: What is the continuous (RMS) power rating of the TS‑X210?
A1: It is rated at 25 W RMS per speaker.
Q2: What is the maximum peak power handling?
A2: Up to 100 W peak per speaker.
Q3: What size is the woofer and what is the speaker’s configuration?
A3: The woofer is 5¼″ (≈130 mm), it uses a 3‑way design (woofer + mid‑range + tweeter) in a surface‐mount enclosure.
Q4: What is the frequency response and sensitivity?
A4: The frequency response is about 60 Hz to 30 kHz, and sensitivity ~84 dB (1W/1m).
Q5: Where can this speaker be installed and why choose it?

A5: Because it’s surface mount with included brackets and doesn’t require cutting a circular hole, it’s ideal for rear decks or vehicles where mounting depth or factory cut‑out is limited. The 3‑way design helps deliver full‑range sound in compact space.
