Description

Pioneer TS‑G1320S

The Pioneer TS‑G1320S is a 5.25‑inch (13 cm) 2‑way coaxial speaker pair designed for upgrading factory systems with improved sound clarity and power handling. It offers a maximum (peak) power handling of 250 W and a continuous (nominal) rating of 35 W RMS. The speakers are built with a mica‑reinforced IMPP™ (Injected Moulded Polypropylene) woofer cone for rigid, low‑distortion performance, and a 30 mm PET hard‑dome tweeter for clear high frequencies. They have an impedance of 4 ohms and a sensitivity of 88 dB (1 W/1 m), making them compatible with many car audio head units.  Their frequency response spans approximately 33 Hz to 24 kHz, giving a wide range from bass into treble.

About The Product

TS-G1320S 5-1/4″ Two-Way Speakers

The TS-G1320S 5-1/4″ two-way speakers feature 250 W max power (35 W nominal) and Pioneer’s extremely strong, lightweight Injected Molded Polypropylene (IMPP™) cone for improved sensitivity and reduced distortion. The Conex damper delivers higher power handling and deeper bass, while the 25 mm balanced dome tweeter reproduces highs with excellent performance and musicality. Shallow mounting depth allows easy installation in a wide variety of vehicles.

Affordable & Reliable OEM Speaker Replacement

These speakers are an excellent choice for replacing factory speakers. The two-way design features an IMPP™ with MICA composite cone woofer for improved sensitivity and reduced distortion. The Conex damper enhances power handling and bass depth, while the balanced dome tweeter delivers clear and musical highs. Shallow mounting depth ensures convenient installation.

Mica Reinforced IMPP™ Cone

The extremely rigid yet lightweight cone prevents distortion and failure under high power. Pioneer’s IMPP™ composite cones, enhanced with mica, achieve an optimal rigidity-to-weight ratio and resonance across the audio bandwidth for balanced sound reproduction.

PET Hard Dome Tweeter

The PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) dome maintains stable electrical and mechanical properties across a wide frequency range. Its strength-to-weight ratio is ideal for high-frequency vibrations. A front diffuser ensures balanced audio from on-axis to off-axis listening points in the car.

Pioneer Exclusive P.F.S.S. Spider

The Progressive Flex Suspension System (P.F.S.S.) supports the voice coil by damping cone vibrations and improving sound linearity. Its soft section ensures smooth movement and clarity under high power, while the firmer section controls excessive vibrations to prevent distortion, maintaining musical detail during large bass excursions.

Questions and Answers

Q1: What is the maximum (peak) power handling of the TS‑G1320S?
A1: The TS‑G1320S supports up to 250 W peak power.
Q2: What is the nominal (RMS) power rating?
A2: The nominal rating is 35 W RMS.
Q3: What size are the TS‑G1320S speakers and what is impedance?
A3: They are 5.25″ (13 cm) diameter coaxial speakers, with an impedance of 4 ohms.
Q4: What materials are used for the woofer and tweeter, and what benefits do they offer?
A4: The woofer uses a mica‑reinforced IMPP™ cone for rigidity and reduced distortion, and the tweeter is a PET hard‑dome for clear highs. These materials improve durability and sound clarity.
Q5: Will these speakers fit a vehicle easily and work with factory head units?

A5: Yes — with 4 ohm impedance, reasonably high sensitivity (88 dB), and a 5.25″ size, they are suitable for many vehicles and installation spaces. Though for very deep bass or maximum volume you might still consider adding an amplifier.
