About The Product

10” Dual 4 Ω Voice Coil Subwoofer

This 10” dual 4 Ω voice coil subwoofer features a glass fiber and mica interlaced Injection Molded Polypropylene (IMPP™) cone, a butyl rubber surround, and an aramid fiber spider for strength and linearity during high excursions. The oversized 56 oz double-stacked magnet with a vented pole yoke provides increased power handling for dynamic, impactful bass.

A-Series Subwoofer

Upgrade to high performance with the Pioneer A-series sound design, which acoustically matches the subwoofer and full-range loudspeakers. This provides seamless and smooth sound characteristics with dynamic, high-impact bass that lets you hear and feel your music.

Glass-fiber & Mica Reinforced IMPP™

Polypropylene (PP) is a tough thermoplastic resin ideal for speaker cones due to its low mass and high damping properties. PP cones offer good sensitivity and low distortion, but raw polypropylene cones lack the rigidity required for high output and extreme low bass. Pioneer engineers, using advanced Computer-Aided Manufacturing, blend glass fibers and mica into the polypropylene resin during the injection molding process. The resulting IMPP™ cone is thinner, low mass, with high rigidity and superior strength, producing natural, detailed sound with deep and powerful bass.

Deep Bass

To achieve deep and tight bass, a rigid and lightweight cone is essential. The subwoofer’s double-stack strontium magnet creates a stronger and longer magnetic field, paired with a large copper voice coil and an aluminum voice-coil former for better bass control under high excursions. This structure also improves heat dissipation for consistent performance.
