TS-A2000LB 8″ Shallow-Mount Subwoofer

The TS-A2000LB features a compact, space-saving enclosure designed for optimal use of space. The shallow enclosure allows installation in a wide variety of vehicles, including pickup trucks with standard or extended-cab models. Its unique design permits mounting upright, lying flat facing upwards, or in a down-firing position. Fully carpeted with an embroidered Pioneer logo, the enclosure provides a non-slip and scratch-resistant surface. This shallow-mount pre-loaded subwoofer delivers a maximum power of 700 W with continuous 250 W RMS. Its cone is made from glass fiber and mica interlaced, injection-molded polypropylene (IMPP™) and is paired with a 2 Ω single voice coil. The subwoofer is fully protected by a steel mesh grille, and the removable feet and cushions provide flexible installation options.

Easy to Connect

Traditional subwoofer terminals can require wire bending, which is difficult with heavy-gauge wires. The TS-A2000LB’s angled binding-post push terminals simplify connection, save space, and make installation easier.

Flexible Options

The included accessories allow multiple installation configurations. The feet can be mounted on the top or bottom, and pads on the feet reduce sliding. When positioned downwards, the subwoofer reflects sound off the floor for richer bass. Facing upwards increases air movement into the cabin for strong, clear bass. Vertical orientation disperses sound like conventional speakers, producing fast, punchy bass with precise direct waves.

Glass-Fiber & Mica Reinforced IMPP™

Polypropylene (PP) is a low-mass, high-damping thermoplastic ideal for speaker cones. By blending glass fibers and mica into the PP during injection molding, Pioneer engineers created a reinforced IMPP™ cone that is thin, low-mass, yet highly rigid and strong. This results in natural, detailed sound with deep and powerful bass.

Butyl Rubber Suspension

The durable, moisture-resistant butyl rubber surround maintains precise linear cone movement. It minimizes vibration between the cone and basket during signal changes, reducing distortion and improving bass response.

Double Aramid Fiber Spider

Pioneer’s dual spider design supports the voice coil, dampens cone vibrations, and improves linearity during sound reproduction. Its soft section allows smooth movement and clear sound under high power, while the firmer section controls excessive vibrations to prevent distortion.

Deep Bass

A rigid, lightweight cone requires a proper motor structure for impactful bass. The TS-A2000LB uses a strontium magnet with a large copper voice coil and a glass-imide voice-coil former for superior cone control and heat dissipation, delivering deep and tight bass even at high excursions.
