Questions and Answers

Q1: What is the power handling of the Pioneer TS-501M?
A1: These speakers can handle up to 300 W peak and about 50 W RMS per speaker.
Q2: What is the size of these speakers and why might I choose them?
A2: They are 5.25″ (≈13.3 cm) in diameter, making them ideal for installations where space is limited but you still want fuller sound.
Q3: What is the driver configuration of the TS-501M?
A3: It employs a 4-way coaxial design: woofer, midrange, tweeter and super-tweeter in one unit.
Q4: What kind of materials and technologies are used in the TS-501M?
A4: The woofer uses a carbon & mica-reinforced IMPP™ cone for rigidity and clarity, and the speaker includes an 11 mm tweeter + 11 mm super-tweeter for enhanced high-frequency detail.
Q5: Will these speakers work with a factory head unit, or do I need an amplifier?
A5: Yes, they’re reasonably efficient (~89 dB sensitivity) and 4-ohm impedance, so they can work with many factory head units. However, for best clarity and volume, pairing with a quality amplifier will help.
