Questions and Answers

Q1: What is the Hifonics KAWI‑RIDGE‑1?

A1: It’s an adapter harness / audio connector accessory made to adapt a Kawasaki RIDGE OEM Garmin audio output to a Hifonics JST connector input, enabling audio integration into a Hifonics audio system.

Q2: Does it work with all Hifonics gear?

A2: It is meant to work only with Hifonics audio products that use the 99994‑1779 Garmin audio connection standard — not universal audio products.

Q3: What does it do?

A3: It takes audio signal “OUT” from the Kawasaki OEM Garmin unit and converts it into a female JST connector that Hifonics systems can accept, plus includes a blue “turn‑on” power wire to signal the amplifier to turn on when the source powers up.

Q4: Where is it used?

A4: It is used in Kawasaki RIDGE SxS OEM audio upgrades, especially when integrating Hifonics audio systems like the Stage 1 or interactive display kits.

Q5: Is it a speaker or amplifier?

A5:  No — it is not a sound‑producing device like a speaker or amplifier; it’s simply a connector/adaptor accessory.
